Medusa, The Lake That Turns Flesh Into Stone

In a remote part of northern Tanzania in Africa there is a mysterious lake. The water is so caustic that it can burn the skin and eyes of unprepared creatures. A 3,500 Year Old Waterlogged Desert Tomb In Egypt

The Egyptian team of archaeologists announced the discovery of the mass grave on December 13 but made the initial discovery “almost two years ago ” according to an announcement made in an Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities Facebook Post about the discovery. Gebel el-Silsila is situated in a narrow part of the Nile about 40 miles (65 kilometers) north of Aswan and the site was a major quarry site about 3,550 years ago during the 18th Dynasty of Egypt.

11,000 Years Old Ancient Pyramid in Indonesian Discovered

The American Geological Union the researchers said, “We believed that in the past this hill was some kind of building. It turns out, it extends far down, consisting of several layers and is actually the entire volume of the hill.” The researchers conducted excavations on “the slopes of the mountain” and said that they “filled it with radars and other devices” to detect “hidden voids and traces of ancient artifacts by changes in the electric or the magnetic resistance of the soil.

50,000-Years-Old Colored Pencil Found in Siberia

Ruins of Loropeni Shed Light on Ancient Gold Trade

The ruins of Loropeni are part of the larger Lobi Ruins, a cultural landscape covering an area of 193 km by 97 km (120 miles by 60 miles). About 100 stone enclosures have been identified in the Lobi Ruins, with the ruins of Loropeni considered to be the best-preserved example of this type of fortified settlement.
