We've all been assigned the task of sharing the gospel and encouraging others to flourish in their faith. Despite the lack of explicit guidance, the Bible teaches us about discipleship and provides several illustrations. Discipleship often entails taking realistic action to put what you've learned into practice.

Baptizing and teaching are meant participles. Jesus is describing how the finite verb's operation is carried out. Jesus is explaining the symbolic act of being initiated into His fold by using the word "baptizing." The gospel is the cause for the initiation, making it the most important message a person can hear in this life. Since the emphasis is about witnessing, the role of baptizing in this text is primarily evangelistic.

Amos 3.7 says, “Indeed, the Sovereign LORD never does anything until He reveals His plans to His servants the prophets.” It is very evident by the number of prophets who are in harmony and agreement that God is about to pour out His Spirit like we have never seen before.
